The Verdict Is In!

As many of you may know, we went in for our ultrasound today. Matthew and I were accompanied by Mattie, my mother and close friend of our family Alexis Jarvis. We were very excited to see how our little one was coming along. Matthew tried to videotape the ultrasound, but was told it wasn't allowed. Instead of being able to show you a clip of the tech telling us what we are having, we can show the next best thing. So, without further adieu, here are the pictures...

And finally the kicker! Its a picture of the bum with the legs and if you look in between the legs, their is a BOY part (to put it nicely)!
That's right, we will be welcoming little Reddin Everett Menzie to our family by the end of this year!

YEAH!!!!! Congrats! So glad that little Reddin looks healthy and a.o.k. You'll die out how easy boys are... sweats, jeans, kahkis & t's. Piece of cake:)
Take Care!

That is very exciting for you and Steph. Congratulations! Where did you come up with the name? I love it!

Reddin is a family name on Matt's side. He was a friend and body guard of Joseph Smith. Everett was my grandfather, who I was very close to and loved very much. We are excited to give our little boy two names that came fromvery strong men!

After more than a decade, finally, someone claims Reddin! Nice. It'll be fun when Hank Reddick and Reddin Everett get together and we can tell them about their namesakes. Great names.

Reddin breaks the grandchildren tie - now the boys are ahead 9 to 8.

I'm sure glad the ultrasound tech knew what to look for - I couldn't make anything out.

What was Mattie's reaction when she found out she'll have a brohter?

That's lame that they didn't let you videotape it--I can understand why they wouldn't but we asked with ours and they said it was okay. We can't wait to meet him when he arrives!

One of each. That's awesome. I guess the "sex position" thing DOES work.

Now you have to decide if you should press your luck with more kids or just stop while you're ahead. Tough one.
